Our MSHA Part 46 New Miner – Spanish Language course provides the required 24 hours of training for Spanish-speaking individuals preparing to work at surface mining

This course covers essential safety topics including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hazard Communication (HazCom), respirable dust exposure, noise and hearing protection, emergency procedures, electrical safety, fire prevention, basic health awareness, and first aid. Additional topics may include workplace examinations, miner’s rights, and hazard recognition—focused on real-world risks encountered in surface mining environments.

Developed in accordance with Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Part 46 standards, this training ensures Spanish-speaking miners can fully understand and apply critical safety practices on the job. Upon successful completion, participants will receive documentation of training for the 24-hour new miner requirement; any additional site-specific training must be completed at the mine site as required.
