Whether you're a short-term contractor, visitor, or vendor, this course provides the foundational safety knowledge needed to access mine properties in compliance with federal Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) guidelines.

The course covers essential topics including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hazard Communication (HazCom), respirable dust exposure, noise hazards and hearing protection, emergency response procedures, electrical safety, fire prevention, basic health awareness, and first aid. It also includes a general overview of miner’s rights, site-specific hazard recognition, and best practices for maintaining a safe work environment.

Ideal for personnel who need limited access to mine sites without completing the full 24-hour new miner training, this 4-hour program ensures all individuals are prepared to recognize potential hazards and respond appropriately in emergency situations. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate of training that satisfies MSHA’s entry-level safety training requirements.
