Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
The Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Training course introduces workers to one of the most important layers of workplace safety across all industries. PPE acts as a frontline defense against hazards by reducing exposure to risks such as chemical contact, falling objects, noise, and airborne particles. Participants will learn about different categories of PPE—including eye and face protection, gloves, hard hats, high-visibility clothing, respiratory protection, and hearing protection—and how each plays a critical role in preventing injuries on the job.
Beyond simply identifying equipment, the course emphasizes proper selection, use, and maintenance of PPE to ensure maximum effectiveness. Workers will gain practical skills in conducting fit checks, recognizing equipment limitations, and understanding when PPE must be replaced. The training also highlights employer responsibilities under OSHA standards, ensuring that workers are provided with the correct protective gear and adequate training. By the end of the course, participants will know how to use PPE effectively to stay safe while performing hazardous tasks and contribute to a safer workplace overall.
