Covering flying, falling, swinging, and rolling objects, the course explains how struck-by hazards occur from moving equipment, falling materials, unsecured loads, vehicle traffic, and improper tool or material handling practices.

This course addresses Struck-By Hazards, one of OSHA's Focus Four hazards responsible for a significant number of serious injuries and fatalities in the construction industry. Participants will learn how struck-by incidents occur, including hazards involving flying, falling, swinging, and rolling objects commonly encountered on construction sites.

The training emphasizes hazard recognition, risk assessment, and practical prevention strategies, including proper material handling, equipment operation, traffic control measures, and maintaining safe work zones. Participants will also review the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE), including head protection, high-visibility clothing, and other controls designed to reduce exposure to struck-by hazards.
